Welcome to the Posthotel Taube
Hospitality has a long standing tradition in the Taube. Right in the heart of Schruns, directly on the church square, the Posthotel has been managing and accommodating guests from the region and all over the world.
Four houses – one whole
The Posthotel Taube has always been an institution in Schruns – and beyond. For almost three years we have extensively rebuilt and expanded since the reopening on December 1st, 2023. Now the historic hotel building shines in new brilliance.
The Taube
In the main house you will find 34 rooms and suites, the reception and our variety of gastronomic concepts including our à la carte restaurant, the sophisticated Schurle Halle, the hotel’s own wine cellar and the Taubenkeller.
Alpgues House
The newly built Alpgues Haus invites you to enjoy relaxing spa moments, cosmetic treatments, massages and fitness or yoga sessions. Our superior rooms with direct access to the Alpgues Spa are also located in this building.
Hunting Lodge
The Hunting Lodge has been in existence since 1453. Today, completely renovated, it offers the ideal ambience for convivial gatherings and culinary highlights of the season. A jassertable, a schnapps cellar and the in-house vanice butchery complete the offering.
House Nescherina
Opposite the Taube, Haus Nescherina houses two well-equipped meeting rooms for your workshops, meetings and conferences for up to 14 people. With a direct view of the village square.
Regional interior
With much love for tradition and craftsmanship, an architectural gem has been created – outside as well as inside. Flair and aesthetics of classic living culture revive the charm of golden times. The interior designer Marika Marte from Bregenz is responsible for the harmonious overall concept of the interior design in the noble British style: from the cozy restaurant parlors over the sophisticated Schurle Hall to the tastefully furnished rooms and suites; she creates this unique environment in which our guests feel at home right away. Precious natural materials such as wood, stone, leather and loden create a cozy atmosphere throughout the hotel.
Culinary highlights in a class of its own
Open and sociable, like the Taube itself, so we present our varied gastronomic offer for hotel and day guests. All restaurant services are open to all guests – both spontaneous from the surrounding area and from the hotel. We are looking forward to your visit!

Relaxation spa in the Alpgues House
On about 400 m2 and two floors of wellness, we pamper our hotel and day guests in the newly built Alpgues house. The name “Alpgues” is a tribute to the strength-giving Alpgues Alpe, which you can reach from the Posthotel Taube. A 16-meter outdoor pool, indoor reclining pool, treading pool (Kneipp basin) and the year-round hot tub, in the gorgeous hotel garden with old trees, provide relaxation in the water during your time in our Spa.
For those who love sweating, we have everything to offer you might desire: Finnish sauna, fir sauna, steam bath, tepidarium and a salt thermal bath are waiting for our guests. We also offer massages in three extra rooms. One of them can even be used for couple treatments. Cosmetic treatments, manicure and pedicure are of course also part of our offer. In addition, you can recharge your batteries in the weight room, during a yoga session and individual wellness packages. This is pure relaxation!

Surrounding area and culture around Schruns
Schruns in the Montafon is an ideal destination all year round. The sporting offers around the Posthotel Taube range from large skiing and ski touring areas including cross-country skiing trails, sled runs, hiking trails and climbing parks to golf courses and bike routes.
Cultural highlights are offered by the Montafoner Resonanzen, a cross-genre music festival, or the saga festivals of the open-air stage Silbertal. The Silvretta Classic Rallye, the Jägerski World Championships, which take place every four years, and the Snowboard Cross World Cup also attract many guests. If you would like to know more about the country and its people, we recommend the Montafon mountain guides, who will gladly tell you about the linguistic identity and the historical ties to the Walser people of Switzerland. Also get to know the alpine tradition with local specialties like “Sura Kees”.
